Staying private

Stealth addresses protect the recipient. A few habits protect the rest.

Good habits

  • Withdraw to a fresh wallet, not the one you shielded from.
  • Wait between receiving and spending; immediate moves are easy to correlate.
  • Use round denominations rather than unique amounts.
  • Don't consolidate many stealth addresses into one wallet in a single burst.
  • Remember the RPC provider sees your IP and the addresses you query.

Limits

What HYDD hides and what it does not. Stealth addresses hide who receives a payment: every payment lands on a fresh one-time address that cannot be linked to the recipient's wallet. The sender's address and the amount of each shield or unshield stay visible on-chain. HYDD does not use zero-knowledge proofs.
